The current go live marks an upgraded version of MetaVision including automated ICNARC data export to MEDICUS by Mela Solutions. The project was described by the Critical Care and Digital Health teams as the ‘biggest ever quality improvement’. Thanks to the upgrade of Critical Care software and hardware, the Norfolk and Norwich Critical Care department (28 beds) is now one of the leading critical care units in the East of England in terms of EPR.
"Thanks to the new version of the software there will be no longer handwritten notes that sometimes can be hard to read” said Emily Georgina Hackett, Registered Nurse in Critical Care.
Akesh Dhrampal, Critical Care Consultant, added: “This will enable our Critical Care services to utilise a new, complete EPR which aligns with the Trust’s digital strategy. This is a powerful tool which will enable better patient care, fewer errors and timely interventions.”
“This new system has been tailored to our needs and it will be easier to understand for colleagues," said Filipe Figueiredo, Critical Care Charge Nurse. “It will also provide more safety in drugs’ administration and patient care. This puts us in a leading position within the region as the most advanced EPR with the latest digital technology supporting the system.”
